SujoodSense

SujoodSense is a compact, silent, battery-powered device that automatically counts your Sujood (prostrations) and Rakats (prayer cycles) while you pray. You place it on your prayer mat, press one button to set your Rakat target, and pray. The device watches for your forehead using an invisible infrared laser and counts each prostration. When you complete your set Rakats, it confirms with a gentle beep. If you accidentally exceed your count, it warns you immediately.

No apps. No phone. No Wi-Fi. Just place it, set it, and focus entirely on your prayer.

Who Needs SujoodSense?

  • Senior Citizens: Elderly worshippers who frequently lose count during long prayers, especially Taraweeh in Ramadan (20 Rakats). Losing count causes anxiety and disrupts khushu (spiritual focus). SujoodSense gives them confidence that their count is accurate.
  • New Converts (Reverts): Muslims who have recently embraced Islam and are still learning prayer structure. They often feel overwhelmed by the counting while simultaneously learning Arabic recitation, postures, and sequence. SujoodSense removes one cognitive burden entirely.
  • Children Learning to Pray: Young children being taught Salah can use SujoodSense as a training tool. Parents can set the Rakat count and the child receives clear feedback on completion, reinforcing the prayer structure through repetition.
  • Everyone Who Prays: Even experienced worshippers lose count during long voluntary prayers (Tahajjud). Imams and congregants who lose track. SujoodSense is a universal tool for any Muslim who prays.
